For anyone needed help with word processing and/or web publishing specific to educational documents, J2E is an outstanding solution.  With this, all facets of needs to include worksheets, homework, and even website creation are handled in a professional and clean way by running within a browser.

One of the things that make J2E so unique is that each of the pages has its own distinct www address.  With this type of design concept, a person can gain access to pages from virtually any web browser, quickly and easily.  As a result, any type of educational documentation can be shared and viewed to include teachers, student, as well as family and friends.  No other process has been made easier, making J2E an exceptional solution.

Another huge benefit to using J2E is that for individual users, the processor is 100% free.  Then for schools that want to use J2E as an educational processor can use the program for 30 days during an evaluation process.  During that time, the professional educators can determine if the solution is the right one for them and if so, they would make the purchase but if not, they would not have any legal contract to buy.

People can actually visit the website for J2E (www.j2e.com) and within a matter of minutes, download the brochure where they can gain even more helpful information to see if this processor is the right choice for their particular needs.  Typically, people who use J2E agree that after using the educational document processor for a few days, they cannot understand how they lived without it.

Anyone interested in J2E will need certain technical requirements.  For starter, this document processor runs on any web browser.  This means someone using Safari, Internet Explorer, Firefox, or something else can benefit from J2E.  However, to use this processor, a Java plug-in is needed.  For this, the version of Java has to be 1.5 or newer.  Therefore, anyone running a lower Java version would need to visit the download site of Java where they can easily download the latest version.

Now, regarding the operating system needed to enjoy J2E, the processor will work with any system as long as it supports the operating system and Java 1.5 or higher.  Best of all, regardless of the hardware being used, J2E will run seamlessly.  For this reason, educators and students love what J2E can do and from a technical standpoint, it is so versatile and flexible.

In addition to being a processor and publisher for education, J2E also handles web page creation and form creation, something not seen in many other like programs.  This means that regardless of the need, as long as it is for an educational purpose, J2E will work.  Then, with having its own www address, the information that has been processed, published, or created is easily shared.

When looking at J2E, people are interested in the two unit modes in which the pages work to include web and edit view.  For a person to edit a page that has been created, the J2E processor would have to be in the edit view mode.  Once within that mode, a special tool panel would pop up.  Now, for the second view mode of web, the user would have to point the mouse on the bottom portion of the screen where a tool bar appears.

Now, there are some cases where while in web view the tool bar at the bottom of the page will not appear.  If this happens, the most common reason is that the page had been saved as an html page.  Therefore, the page would have to have ‘?edit’ to the www page address within the browser.  Once the enter button is pressed, the person can move on to look at the page in web view mode.

Once a person opens J2E, two unique buttons will appear at the top of the window, one being the buttons typically found for browsers and the second being buttons specific to J2E.  Next, people need to think of J2E as being a blank piece of paper.  With this, the mouse is clicked on the page anywhere and typing started.  As soon as the typing begins, a text frame appears.  Like a standard word processor, the text being typed in J2E will wrap although it can be repositioned by changing the object.

Other features of using J2E include the following:
  • Adding Text to Existing Test - New text frames are common, which can be confusing, especially when a person simply wants to add text.  The shape of the cursor is the solution here in that the I beam cursor will allow text to be added whereas using a pointer arrow creates a new text frame.  Therefore people need to make sure they are using the appropriate cursor to add text to an existing page.
  • Font Attributes – The font size, style, color, and other attributes can be changed in J2E by using the right-hand tool panel.  If the person using J2E wants to reset the default, they can go to “my account”, “my settings”, and then “my defaults” and choose the type of font they want to use all the time.
  • Unique Text Features – With J2E, a person can add graduated fill for the text color, mask a picture, which involves taking a font and size and actually converting it to a shape, 3D that makes it possible to add 3D or shadow attributes to J2E text, and much more.
